La UNESCO proclam\u00f3 esta celebraci\u00f3n en\u00a02012\u00a0a propuesta de la Asociaci\u00f3n Internacional de Artes Pl\u00e1sticas (AIAP), con el objetivo de\u00a0promover la conciencia de la actividad art\u00edstica y su importancia para el desarrollo cultural de la humanidad.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Esta fecha busca destacar el valor del arte como medio de expresi\u00f3n, comunicaci\u00f3n, identidad y transformaci\u00f3n social.
